SubOptic 2013 - April 2013 in Paris, France:
The "Call for Papers" for SubOptic 2013 the premier event in our industry has now been issued. The conference which will be held in the Marriot Rive Gauche Hotel in Paris, will start on April 23rd, 2013 and last three days. It will be preceded by a series of master-class tutorials which will be held on April 22nd, 2013.
It is the one event that encourages all people from the industry and community to get together and discuss issues that are critical to our business as demonstrated by the more than 150 papers presented at out last event.
Our last conference SubOptic 2010 in Yokohama attracted more than 700 attendees from over 230 companies and our conference remains the only event organised by the industry for the industry on a non-profit making basis. It provides a meeting place for all strands of interest in the Undersea Optical Fibre Communications business.
Conference Theme
The theme for SubOptic 2013 is ‘From Ocean to Cloud’ which is intended to cover not only the traditional topics that our regular conference attendees look forward to, but also new areas such as the impact mobile data generated by the smart phones and tablets will have on our networks, to how to achieve value from your investment, operator and service delivery and much more.
The seven topic areas below have been chosen by the SubOptic 2013 Programme Committee, based upon the experience from previous events. Papers for oral and poster presentation in these topic areas are now being sought.

7. Special Markets
The "Call for Papers" details the submission and review process together with more information on the content of papers that could be considered under each topic area.
Submissions can be made at any time via this website, from 1 June 2012.
The deadline for submission of Executive Summaries is 16 September 2012 and authors will be advised of the outcome of the review by 3 December 2012.

Exhibition Booths
There are over 50 booths available for the Exhibition, each 3m x 3m. The first booth comes at a considerable discount of 3,500 Euro, whilst a free conference registration is included if additional booths are requested.
Hospitality Rooms
Twelve suites based in the hotel area are available. Each suite is of 20 sqm, suitable for meetings of up to 12 people and they are available for the whole 4 days of the event.
